| Rovescala is called the city of wine and its name resounds in the DOC area of the Oltrepò Pavese.
Our roots are here and this territory feeds our passion: a passion called Fortesi
Winery.
Four generations of winemakers have been working this land: its vines,
extended for 5 hectares and south-east exposed, are Croatina
(60%), Barbera (20%) and local varieties (20%), all trained by the Guyot system.
Working these vineyards has been a challenge and a labour of love at the same time.
A challenge, because the intention was to immediately
improve the quality of the wines by increasing their body and improving their colour
and persistence by a proper aging in oak casks.
A labour of love, because the work was set in absolute
respect of the traditions and the peculiarities of
the terroir of Rovescala.
The result of our efforts has been achieved under the guidance of a threefold motto: nature, simplicity and uniqueness.
For this reason, the basis of our quality wines is the grape: grapes are picked from selected
vineyards (cru), under strict agronomic and oenological
